A slew of notable artists and musicians — including members of Mastodon, Gojira, At the Drive-In, Slipknot and Pearl Jam — are set to auction off a slew of artworks and ephemera early next month for a fundraiser benefiting Smile & Wonder, the Los Angeles-based therapy center and preschool co-founded by ATDI's Tony Hajjar and his wife, Nicole. The auction, to be held February 8th, will feature purchasable works from Troy Sanders (Mastodon), Mario Du Plantier (Gojira), Jeff Ament (Pearl Jam), Cedrix Bixler (ATDI, Mars Volta), Jay Weinberg (Slipknot, Hesitation Marks), Chelsea Wolfe, Shepard Fairey, Kat Von D, Blondie, Richie Beckett, and many more, plus a performance from metal supergroup Gone Is Gone (whose ranks include Hajjar and Sanders, as well as members of Queens of the Stone Age and Sencit Music).
Sounds rad, right? Well, we've got good news and bad news. First, the bad news: The only way to snag a ticket to the 21+ event itself is via lottery. Fans are instructed to send an email to rsvp@smileandwonder.com with their name, address and phone number; 100 lucky winners will then be chosen at random. Now for the good news: prospective buyers can cast their bids online, as well. To register for the auction and preview some of the items up for sale, head here.

"Every day we get to work with amazing children and their families, helping them overcome developmental obstacles to find the magic within and for that, we are incredibly grateful.
