Maynard James Keenan continues his prolonged song-and-dance with Tool fans concerning the completion of the progressive alt-metal group's feverishly anticipated next album. The successor to the group's 2006 full-length, 10,000 Days, has been discussed ad nauseam over the last 13 years, and fans have been occasionally updated via Keenan's cryptic statements on social media and sometimes even onstage. Today (January 4th), the singer offered up his latest tantalizing tease.
"Update- Final vocals tracked MONTHS ago. Then U.S.-UK-Euro run w #APC. If Tool all inst are tracked, long process of Mixing now. Meanwhile write/film/track w @puscifer for #puscifer2020 & troll the band FBs with wine posts," Keenan wrote in a tweet, adding the hashtags #funnyshit #whileyouwerewhiningiwasworking, the latter being one he utilizes frequently while responding to any naysayers who wish Tool would hurry up already.
