See Megadeth/Anthrax Supergroup Altitudes & Attitude's Fun New "Part of Me" Video

David Ellefson and Frank Bello take viewers behind the scenes of tour with Slash, Myles Kennedy

Frank Bello and David Ellefson are best known for their well-honed bass-playing talents with Big 4 thrash pioneers Anthrax and Megadeth, respectively, but now they've given fans a front-row look at the recent adventures of their supergroup side project Altitudes & Attitude. The band just completed a European tour with Slash, Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators, and footage from the trek has been compiled into a lively clip for the duo's hard-hitting track "Part of Me" off its debut album Get It Out. Showing off Altitudes & Attitude's high-energy live show and sprinkling in some candid backstage antics, the visual gives viewers a behind-the-scenes look at life on the road for the seasoned rockers. The tour marked a fun reunion for Bello and Ellefson and their old friend Slash.

"Out of all the crazy shenanigans and hazy daze of the Hollywood 1980s, Slash has remained one of my real true friends all these years later," enthuses Ellefson. "We would kick around late-night jam sessions and endure many of the Hollywood excesses of back in the days. Since then, his rock-star successes are so well deserved, and his generosity to give me and Frank a slot on his sold-out tour to play our new A&A songs for his fans reflects his real human character as a kind soul and rock & roll legend. We are forever indebted."

Bello seconds the sentiment: "Slash and Myles welcomed us with open arms — in fact, Slash was the first person Dave and I met at catering and he was genuinely happy to see us. He's always been a great dude. We all wished we had more shows so we could hang more!"

This sense of camaraderie on the Slash tour is apparent in the various shots of backstage interviews, pre-show rehearsal clips and general goofing off that appear in the "Part of Me" video's final cut. Watch it in full above; Get It Out is available for streaming and purchase now. The record features guest spots from Ace Frehley and Nita Strauss, and according to Ellefson and Bello, the music is much more personal for them than what they create in their main bands. "A lot of these lyrics are about the inner struggles of my life," the Anthrax bassist explains, "and about the rage that has built up from my life experiences." Ellefson adds that the album is "very much an important musical statement from Frank and me ... There's a big musical part of each of us that doesn't get heard anywhere else."
