Megadeth's Dave Mustaine Once Peed on White House Bathroom Floor: "I Had to"

"I peed on the floor. I had to. I had to."

Dave Mustaine has been using Megadeth lyrics as an engine for political criticisms since the dawn of the band, tearing into the brutality of war and the violence mankind has committed in the name of patriotism. The man has never been particularly fond of those at the highest levels of political power, and in the early Nineties, he claims that he once took a piss on the floor of a White House bathroom during a visit at the Oval Office.

Mustaine told the tale during yesterday's (April 10th) stop of the Metal Tour of the Year, and fortunately someone was there to film it. As Blabbermouth notes, Mustaine's lavatorial desecration most likely occured in 1992,  back when Mustaine visited the White House as part of the Rock the Vote initiative.

"I want you guys to know that I've lived through a lot of different eras in the United States and seen different things," Mustaine said from the stage, "and one thing that makes me the most proud of everything here in our country is you guys, the way that you are handling yourselves and the way that…as the metal community. There's a lot of people that go out there and they say things and they totally embarrass themselves. And I want you guys to know how proud I am to represent you.

"When I went up to the White House, I was so proud to be able to go up there and say, 'Fuck you. You think we're stupid? We are not stupid.' By the way, when I went into the White House, I went into the royal — whatever the fuck it's called — White House bathroom, and I peed on the floor. I had to. I had to."

Unfortunately that's as much detail as he gave about that fateful night, so we absolutely need to hear the full oral history of Mustaine's mighty piss on the floor of one of our country's most sacred restrooms. Watch the video above via YouTube.
