METALLICA: Hear new, extended clip of thrashy single "72 Seasons"

UPDATE: 3/29/23: We now know that Metallica's upcoming single will be the title track off their hotly anticipated album, 72 Seasons, and the band has offered up a new, extended clip of the song plus a peek at the music video. Check it out below.

ORIGINAL POST, 3/27/23: Metallica appear to be teasing another single from 72 Seasons. This morning (March 27th), the metal titans shared a brief yet promising clip of new music on their social media profiles, captioned with the date of Thursday March 30th. They didn't reveal the title of the song, and there aren't any vocals in this 15-second preview to go off of — just a thrashy, pummeling riff.

Assuming that Metallica drop the full song later this week, it will be the fourth single from 72 Seasons, following the catchy "Lux Æterna," the vulnerable "Screaming Suicide" and the crushing "If Darkness Had a Son." Check out the clip of the new song below.
