Metallica, Mastodon, A7X, Code Orange, More Nominated for 2018 Grammys

The 60th annual Grammy Awards will be held January 28th at New York City's Madison Square Garden. Today, the Recording Academy announced the 2018 nominees. Metallica, Mastodon, Meshuggah, Avenged Sevenfold, August Burns Red, Body Count, Code Orange, and Queens of the Stone Age are all up for awards this year. Late Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell has also been nominated posthumously for "Best Rock Performance" his solo track "The Promise." Big Four thrashers Megadeth came out on top at last year's ceremony with "Dystopia," which won the "Best Metal Performance" award.
