Metallica played one of the more interesting shows of their career at the beginning of the month when they went unplugged at San Francisco's Masonic to raise money for the band's very own All Within My Hands Foundation. The set was bonkers; complete with acoustic reworkings of "Disposable Heroes," "Unforgiven" and "Nothing Else Matters," and truly unexpected covers, like Blue Öyster Cult deep cut "Veteran of the Psychic Wars." All told, the show raised $1.3 million, which was split between Feeding America and the American Association of Community Colleges.

If you weren't at the show, and are curious to know what James Hetfield sounds like between mandolin and pedal steel, you're in luck, because the band will be releasing the concert as a double album to raise more money for the charity. The record — called Helping Hands … Live & Acoustic at the Masonic — won't be out until February 1st, 2019, but pre-orders are available now.

All net proceeds will go to the foundation, which just donated $100,000 to assist California emergency services during the recent wildfires. See the full track list — and watch the unplugged take of "All Within My Hands" (which very well might make you reconsider St. Anger's legacy as a whole) — below:
