Australian fashion designer Justin O'Shea — who runs and self-funds his own streetwear label, SSS World Corp. — has collaborated with Metallica on a collection for Selfridges, the high-end British department store chain, Business of Fashion reports. In stores October 20th, the capsule features bomber jackets, sweatshirts, trousers, socks, caps, beanies, and even a sleek rain jacket, pictured below, with the iconic Metallica logo appearing on items, as well as the logo font being applied to the word "England" and to the Selfridges logo. The collection is part of Selfridges' "Music Matters" campaign, which seeks to "reassert the importance of collective experiences in music at a time when 40 percent of London's music venues have shut down in the past decade."

This isn't the first time Metallica have linked up with O'Shea. Last year, the designer tapped the Big Four titans to model for the storied Italian suitmakers Brioni, with badass results, for whom he served as creative director.

"Fashion is becoming more interactive," O'Shea commented to Business of Fashion. "In the last few years, the brands that are the most influential aren't the brands producing crocodile bags, but those that are real and people have touchpoints with."
