Miss May I haven't released a new album in five long years, but that's all about to change. The Ohio metalcore band have announced their seventh album, Curse of Existence (out September 2nd via SharpTone Records), the long-awaited follow-up to their 2017 LP Shadows Inside. We already heard one of its singles, "Unconquered," earlier this year, but today they're sharing a second offering called "Bleed Together" that sees them picking up right where they left off.
It's angry, it's heavy, its got an anthemic clean chorus and courtesy of Will Putney's production work, it has the big-room feel that the band have been specializing in for well over a decade. Take a listen above via YouTube.
"'Bleed Together' describes the connection a parent has with their child and the lengths they are willing to go to be there for them," frontman Levi Benton explained. "It is a natural instinct for a parent to want to guard their child and for some that still seems to be something that was missing in their life. This song is from my perspective and an emotional follow up to our song 'Hey Mister' which describes the lack of a father figure around in one's life."
Curse of Existence is out September 2nd via SharpTone Records and is available for pre-orders go live this Friday right here. See the album artwork below.
