Former Motörhead guitarist and the last member of the group's "classic lineup" "Fast" Eddie Clarke has died at the age of 67.

His death was announced on the band's Facebook page. Clarke died peacefully in the hospital following a bout of pneumonia, according to the post.

Clarke — alongside singer-bassist Lemmy Kilmister and drummer Phil "Philthy Animal" Taylor — was part of Motörhead's most celebrated lineup. The trio released six albums together, from their 1977 self-titled debut through their fifth album, 1982's Iron Fist. He can also be heard on the all-time classic LP Ace of Spades, released in 1980, and he provided lead vocals on numerous Motörhead tracks.

In 1982, he left the band and was replaced by Thin Lizzy's Brian Robertson. Clarke subsequently linked up with UFO bassist Pete Way and formed the rock outfit Fastway, which released seven albums and toured with AC/DC.

In 2000, Clarke made a guest appearance at Motörhead's 25th anniversary concert at London's Brixton Academy. He also joined Lemmy and Taylor during a Birmingham Arena show in 2014 to play "Ace of Spades."
