Mudvayne's Chad Gray was the talk of the metal internet today (July 28th) after video went viral of him taking a tumble off the stage while, ironically, in the middle of singing the song "Not Falling." Now, Gray has shared "the whole truth" behind the incident, which took place during the reunited nu-metal band's July 26th performance in Tampa, Florida.

In video posted to his Instagram, the 50-year-old Mudvayne singer described the fall, which he called "fucking brutal." The vocalist said he's still sore even two days after the accident but counted his blessings that he didn't break a rib or otherwise seriously injure himself after landing on his sternum on the metal barricade. ("I thought I was gonna piss my pants," he noted of the impact. "It hurt so fuckin' bad.") Gray also urged concertgoers to help look out for him when he steps out to sing among the masses, comparing the act to a trust fall. Watch his full account below.
