In exciting news for the Revolver staff favorites, New Zealand's tribal groove-metal trio Alien Weaponry have announced they will be hitting North America for the first time, in a supporting slot for industrial pioneers Ministry. Joining popular French synthwave act Carpenter Brut, the promising teenagers will play a month-long run to the delight of stateside fans who have been waiting patiently for the group to make the long trip to U.S. shores.

If you decide to hit up one of the shows, make sure and practice the haka in advance. Alien Weaponry's two brothers, singer-guitarist Lewis de Jong and drummer Henry de Jong, are both of Māori descent, and many of the band's songs are sung in the culture's traditional language Te Reo; fans have been known to perform the haka — the Māori war dance — at the group's concerts. "Something that happens quite a lot at school events and stuff, if you're having like a music event or anything, if there's a Māori artist that goes up and performs, quite often people jump up and do a haka," Henry explained to us in March. "They jump up and do a haka to that person in support of them. ... Which is really cool."
