Ozzy Osbourne: Go Behind the Scenes of "Patient Number 9" Music Video

Directed by comic book creator Todd McFarlane

Revolver has teamed with Ozzy for exclusive colored vinyl and CD variants of Patient Number 9 — limited to 2,000 and 999 copies each, respectively. Order yours from our shop!

Last Month, Ozzy Osbourne announced his highly anticipated new album, Patient Number 9, dropped its lead single and title track and unveiled the song's nightmarish music video, directed by artist and comic book creator Todd McFarlane. The visual features McFarlane's signature illustrations intercut with footage of Ozzy playing the tortured role of Patient Number 9, and is the first-ever video to incorporate the heavy-metal icon's own artwork: His hand-drawn demons were animated and can be seen during the Jeff Beck solo in the song.

Now, you can see how it all came together courtesy of a new behind-the-scenes video released today (July 14th). Watch above.

"Having worked with Ozzy in the past, I jumped at another opportunity to do so again … especially on the music side this time," McFarlane commented. "In the harsh business called the music industry, any creative person who's sustained a multi-decades career has shown the skill, talent and tenacity that will always garner my admiration. Ozzy has shown many of us creative folks that it's indeed possible to make a living doing what you love for nearly an entire lifetime. Go, Ozzy!"

Patient Number 9 — which features an all-star cast including Beck, Tony Iommi, Duff McKagan, Eric Clapton, Zakk Wylde, Robert Trujillo, Josh Homme and the late Taylor Hawkins — is now available for pre-order in a variety of formats. To order the album on vinyl, CD or cassette, visit Revolver's shop.
