New Ozzy Osbourne music arrived today (June 24th) in the form of "Patient Number 9," the lead single and title track off the heavy-metal icon's upcoming 13th album. Produced by Andrew Watt, who also helmed its predecessor, 2020's Ordinary Man, and the song boasts an all-star cast of contributors including Jeff Beck, Zakk Wylde, Metallica's Robert Trujillo and Red Hot Chili Peppers' Chad Smith.

Musically, it's an Eighties-style metal anthem that evokes classic Ozzy. Lyrically, it portrays a nightmarish trip to a mental institution. "It's one we wrote about Sharon and I," Ozzy said of the song in May, speaking on SiriusXM's Ozzy's Boneyard. Sharon Osbourne, the singer's wife and manager, opened up in 2020 about her mental health struggles, which included a suicide attempt and a stay at a mental health facility. "It was actually Ozzy that got me to the hospital," she revealed.
