On the latest episode of his SiriusXM show, Ozzy Speaks, Ozzy Osbourne dropped some breadcrumbs about his new album and weighed in on the recent controversy surrounding his wife, Sharon Osbourne.

Speaking with his co-host Billy Morrison, the 72-year-old revealed that he already has 13 or 14 "really strong songs" written for his latest album with producer Andrew Watt, who previously helmed his 2020 record, Ordinary Man.

"Some interesting people are going to be on the album, which I can't really disclose," Osbourne said. "I'm like a pregnant hen," he added when Morrison asked if he was excited. "You know, I'm like, I'll be critical with everyone."

He didn't offer many more specifics about the still-untitled record, but he did say that there's at least one song on there that makes him say, "Yes, this is a winner." "There's one called 'Patient Number Nine,'" Osbourne said. "It's one we wrote about Sharon and I. And as you know, poor Sharon has been going through the mill lately."

That's when Morrison transitioned to talking about Osbourne's wife of 39 years, who's been embroiled in controversy since early March when she was fired from the CBS panel show, The Talk, amid allegations of racism and employee misconduct. Her husband previously stated that he was "Team Sharon," and he continued to defend her while speaking with Morrison.

"All I can tell you [is that] if my wife was slightly racist, I'd tell you," Ozzy said. "She's possibly the most un-racist person I've ever met. And I'm not just saying that."

Morrison went on to say that he "would totally concur" that she's not racist, and that he texted her when the drama was going down to tell her, "'Just ignore the haters, 'cause you're an original gangster."

"I mean, but it's still an unpleasant issue," Osbourne replied. "It's one of them things that once you're accused of it, people tie with that brush and it's very hard to shake up."

Despite losing her job, Ozzy said that his wife has already "weathered the storm" and that "this was just one of the bumps in the road. We'll get through this."
