Pantera's First Show in 21 Years: See Video and Setlist

It finally fucking happened

It happened. It actually happened. Last night (December 2nd), Pantera played their first show in over 20 years, and it looked every bit as wild and momentous as we could've imagined.

The show was the groove-metal pioneers' inaugural gig with their new lineup — core members Philip Anselmo and Rex Brown joined by longtime friends Charlie Benante (Anthrax) and Zakk Wylde (Ozzy Osbourne, Black Label Society) — and the kickoff of an increasingly busy tour schedule that's set to traverse South America this winter, and eventually hit Europe and the United States later in 2023.

Naturally, fans at Mexico's Hell & Heaven Metal Fest who were lucky enough to witness this historic event quickly flooded the internet with videos. Pantera's stacked, 14-song setlist spanned their most beloved material, including their cover of Black Sabbath's "Planet Caravan" during which a tribute video to the band's founding brothers, Dimebag Darrell and Vinnie Paul — who passed in 2004 and 2018, respectively — played on the screen behind them.

Watch fan-shot footage below, and check out the doozy of a setlist, courtesy of setlist.fm.
