Pantera's Second Comeback Show: See Videos and Setlist

Philip, Rex, Zakk and Charlie hit Mexico's Monterrey Metal Fest

It fucking happened — again. Last night (December 6th), Pantera played their second show in over 20 years at Mexico's Monterrey Metal Fest, which went down at just a few days after their momentous return, also in Mexico, at Hell & Heaven fest on December 2nd.

The show was the groove-metal pioneers' second gig with their new lineup — core members Philip Anselmo and Rex Brown joined by longtime friends Zakk Wylde (Ozzy Osbourne, Black Label Society) and Charlie Benante (Anthrax), playing in the place of the late, great Dimebag Darrell and Vinnie Paul. The re-formed band's increasingly busy tour schedule has them set to traverse South America this winter, and eventually hit Europe and the United States later in 2023.

Playing a slightly shorter set this time out, Pantera dropped two songs from their live debut's setlist — the deep cuts "Use My Third Arm" and "Yesterday Don't Mean Shit" — focusing instead on fan favorites off their first three major-label albums, Cowboys From Hell, Vulgar Display of Power and Far Beyond Driven.

Watch fan-shot footage above and below, and check out the 12-song setlist, courtesy of setlist.fm.
