Of course, we're all dying to return to our favorite music venues to see our favorite artists playing live in-person again, but in the meantime, while we're still all stuck at home, your calendar of livestreaming events just got a new entry: PlayOn Fest, a first-of-its-kind virtual music festival, supporting the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organization (WHO), powered by the UN Foundation. The lineup is dominated by pop powerhouses, but does include two heavy-duty metal bands: Slipknot and Korn. For the latter, fans will get to see Jonathan Davis and Co.'s 2019 record-release performance inside a living art installation, in support of their latest album, The Nothing.

The three-day streaming music event will broadcast concerts beginning this Friday, April 24th, at 12 noon ET for 72 hours straight, wrapping on April 26th. Artists' set times will be released later this week, including information on some "extraordinary, and rare, footage."

"During this pandemic, we are all searching for ways to stay connected," says Elizabeth Cousens, President & CEO of the UN Foundation. "The PlayOn Fest is a great way to come together, enjoy good music and company, and support the World Health Organization's most urgent global work to combat COVID-19."
