Porcupine Tree mastermind Steven Wilson rang in the new year with some unexpected news for his band's fans, revealing on social media that the heralded prog group would play its "likely final" shows this spring and summer at a "handful" of European festivals.
Wilson outlined some of his upcoming plans, including a new a 10-track, 65-minute solo album, but he buried the biggest news within parentheses: "Meanwhile the (likely final) @PorcupineTree shows will be a handful of festival appearances over the Summer," he wrote in a January 1st post, "check the band's channels for more info."
Last June, Porcupine Tree released Closure/Continuation, their first album since 2009's The Incident. See the band's confirmed 2023 live dates so far, as well as Wilson's full message, below.
Porcupine Tree 2023 live dates:
Jun. 17 - Hellfest - Clisson, France
Jun. 20 - Kunstrasen - Bonn, Germany
Jun. 22 - Tollwood Sommerfestival - Munich, Germany

Jul. 08 - Bospop - Weert, Netherlands

Coming in 2023 will be my new album, a 10 track 65 minute musical journey that’s kinda hard to describe, but suffice to say it’s different again, not to mention totally pretentious (in a good way!)
