The Acacia Strain are gearing up to drop not one, but two albums next month. On May 12th, the deathcore pioneers will release Step Into the Light and Failure Will Follow, the former embracing their usual chuggy fare and the latter venturing further than they ever have into the land of doom-metal. We've already heard a couple tracks from Step Into the Light and a preview of one of the longform compositions on Failure to Follow, and today (April 20th), Vincent Bennett and Co. have dropped another taste of the former record, which the frontman describes as "possibly the hardest song we have ever written."

There's not a single track in the band's catalog that one could describe as "light," but this uncharacteristically short, fast, minute-long blast of grindy mayhem is indeed a fucking stomper, and the guest vocals from Chamber's Jacob Lilly only bolster its vicious attack. Step Into the Light and Failure Will Follow are both arriving May 12th via Rise Records, and Revolver has teamed with the band for several exclusive vinyl pressings. Our "pearlescent copper swirl" variant of Step Into the Light already sold out, but you can still pick up our "banana swirl" colored variant of Failure Will Follow  Get yours from our shop before they're all gone for good!
