Righteous Fool — the sludgy, scuzzy trio comprised of Corrosion of Conformity bassist Mike Dean and his late COC bandmate drummer Reed Mullin, plus guitarist Jason Browning (known for playing with Bad Brains' HR) — are finally set to released their long-awaited debut album. Sharing the name of the band, the full-length was recorded at Dave Grohl's Studio 606 in California, during the same sessions that produced COC's self-titled 2012 reunion LP.

"We wrote a lot of music and worked hard," Browning recalls. "Sometimes we were in the shadow of COC, but it wasn't a side project at all. The two bands coexisted amazingly week. Righteous Fool even toured for the Animosity lineup, with Reed and Mike playing and singing two sets a night!"

Today (June 30th), Revolver is stoked to premiere said album, which is set to be released this Friday, July 1st, via Ripple Music. (You can order your copy via Bandcamp.) Featuring the song "Low Brow," which was released as a single in 2020 following Mullin's death, it's a righteous display of stoner metal, heavy blues and punk rawk that sees the three band members sharing vocals duties, and it should hit the sweet spot for any COC fan. Give it a listen below.
