Power Trip frontman Riley Gale, one of heavy music's most promising and beloved rising stars, has passed away. He was 34. The singer was known for his high-energy onstage performances (Ice-T affectionately nicknamed him "Lil Jumpy Mane"), politically charged lyrics and fearlessly outspoken statements to the press and on social media. Offstage, he was kind-hearted and down to earth, always supportive of his fellow musicians and open to his fans.

Revolver had just interviewed Gale in July as part of our "The Last Show" video series, and he shared his memories of the last concert he played before the COVID-19 shutdown (which was in Thailand), and discussed the Black Lives Matter protests, his guest shot on Body Count's "Point the Finger" and his dream lineup for a hypothetical concert at the end of the world. In 2018, Gale appeared on the one of the four covers of Revolver's first-ever "Rule-Breakers" Issue. As of press time, no cause of death had been revealed, but the following statement was issued by Power Trip and the Gale family.

Dear Power Trip fans worldwide,

It is with the greatest of sadness we must announce that our lead singer and brother Riley Gale passed away last night.

Riley was a friend, a brother, a son. Riley was both a larger than life rock star and a humble and giving friend. He touched so many lives through his lyrics and through his huge heart. He treated everyone he met as a friend and he always took care of his friends. We will celebrate Riley's life and never forget the great works of music, charity, and love that he left behind. You, the fans, meant so much to him, please know how special you are. If you have a memory of Riley please share it, no matter how small, as we remember him.

Please respect our wishes for privacy during this time. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Dallas Hope Charities, the link to donate directly is here.

Signed,
- Rlley's Loving Family

P.S. Funeral and visitation arrangements are pending.
