After a teaser trailer whetted our appetites and left plenty of questions unanswered, horror rocker and cult director Rob Zombie has finally unleashed a full-length trailer for his latest macabre creation 3 From Hell.
We knew the Firefly family were back and somehow alive after the bloody shoot-out at the conclusion of 2005's The Devil's Rejects, and our first taste a few weeks ago showed the three main characters — Baby, Otis, and Captain Spaulding — on yet what appeared to be another murderous rampage, a shot of Sheri Moon Zombie in a police uniform hinting at a possible mutiny leading to their escape from prison. In the new trailer, we get a much deeper glimpse into the violence and madness that awaits viewers when the film finally drops this fall.
The unrated version of 3 From Hell is set to arrive on September 16th, 17th and 18th via Fathom's Digital Broadcast Network at nearly 900 theaters, with different events coordinated for each night of the special release. Each night of the three-day screening will feature a separate special event. Night one includes a broadcast introduction from the director himself with the first 50 viewers through the door to receive a special poster, night two contains a special half hour behind-the-scenes documentary, and the final night is a double feature of the new film and its predecessor The Devil's Rejects.
"This event is a long time coming," Zombie said in a statement to the press. "The journey of these characters has always been special to me and I am thrilled to finally let the fans experience the next episode of the Firefly madness. This project was a true labor of love for everyone involved and we know we have created something amazing for the loyal followers of these films."
