Hear "Satanic Doo-Wop" Duo Twin Temple's Fiendish New Song "Satan Is a Woman"

"Satan has summoned us to deliver a new sacrificial offering. It is our pleasure to do her bidding."

Self-described "Satanic doo-wop" group Twin Temple have been making quite the splash lately with their Lucifer-lovin' spin on the classic sounds of the Fifties and Sixties. The duo — married couple Alexandra and Zachary James — certainly have a talent for cheeky, sacrilegious lyrics, finger-snapping grooves and gloriously retro melodies. They were among the breakout stars of Roadburn 2019, and while their sound is far-flung from the Sabbathian rumble that venerable record label Rise Above is best known for, the imprint signed the twosome on, reissuing their long out-of-print debut LP in March, and it's truly a match made in hell.

Today (June 17th), Twin Temple are back with a brand-new single, the fiendishly fun "Satan Is a Woman." "Satan has summoned us to deliver a new sacrificial offering," the Jameses offer of the song in a joint statement. "It is our pleasure to do her bidding." Check it out above.
