Norwegian black-metal stalwarts Satyricon have announced their final run of U.S. dates. The duo's last-ever stateside trek begins May 13th in Los Angeles and wraps up in Austin, Texas, on May 30th, with support from fellow cvltists Inquisition and Panzerfaust. The itinerary also includes several Canadian stops, as well as a headlining appearance at the 2018 Maryland Death Fest.

"As our U.S. fans will have noticed, we haven't toured there in nine years," frontman Sigurd "Satyr" Wongraven wrote, in an announcement posted to Satyricon's Facebook page. "There are many reasons for that. I like America and I like Americans, but unfortunately touring there has been a difficult chapter in the history of Satyricon."

While Wongraven isn't ruling out the possibility of another U.S. tour further down the line, fans shouldn't hold their breaths. "I can't guarantee what the future holds," he says, "but we did not go on the last record [2013's self-titled album] so I am hoping that one final headlining tour can be a good way of sharing some electric musical moments with our U.S. fans, whom we love just as much as all our other fans across the world."

Satyricon's farewell to the good old US-of-A arrives in the wake of Deep Calleth Upon Deep, the band's ninth studio album, released last September. Find the full itinerary below.
