Today (March 31st) marks the 25th anniversary of Stone Temple Pilots icon Scott Weiland's solo debut, 12 Bar Blues, and Rhino Records is celebrating by remastering and expanding the acclaimed album for two upcoming releases: a limited-edition 2LP set and a deluxe digital edition.
The latter features the newly remastered album plus eight previously unreleased tracks, including the demo version of the single "Barbarella," which premiered today. You can stream it above via YouTube. The original music video for the song has also been upgraded to 4K for the occasion — watch below.
The 2LP set will be available on Record Store Day exclusively at select independent music retailers. Limited to 7,500 copies on 180-gram translucent blue and green wax, the pressing marks the first time 12 Bar Blues album has appeared on vinyl. The deluxe digital edition will follow on May 12th.
