See 100 drummers play FOO FIGHTERS' "My Hero" to honor TAYLOR HAWKINS

An immense tribute to the late rock percussionist

Late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins has received countless tributes since his passing in March 2022, but this is among the most heartwarming. At an arena in Antwerp, Belgium, 100 drummers — plus the members of Belgian band Black Box Revelation — filled the venue to perform "My Hero" in honor of Hawkins.

Sportpaleis Antwerp was the last venue in Belgium where Taylor Hawkins ever played, having performed there with the Foo Fighters back in 2018. The new tribute video from Studio Brussel begins with just one guitarist, one bassist and one drummer playing the opening to "My Hero," but an additional 99 drummers quickly enter the fold to play Hawkins' parts in unison.

The group of drummers came in all ages, and they all wore "hawk" shirts from the Taylor Hawkins tribute concerts in 2022. The 100 drummers were all shot and lit beautifully throughout their performance of "My Hero," which you can watch above via YouTube.

"Taylor Hawkins was the best drummer of our times," Black Box Revelation said in a statement. "Honoring him with this tribute was an experience we will never forget."

Gino Kesteloot, one of the other performers, added, "It's the first time I played together with 100 other drummers. It sounded great, I even got goosebumps all over my body! Wonderful to honor our hero this way."
