There's a new vocalist vying for Derrick Green's spot in Sepultura. She's an eight-year-old girl named K8 and she's growing every day, getting stronger in every way.
Courtesy of the O'Keefe Music Foundation, a group of musically-inclined children and teens have shared a ferocious cover of Sepultura's iconic 1996 song, "Roots Bloody Roots." In addition to the eight-year-old frontwoman who does her best impersonation of Max Cavalera's imitable growl, the cover features eight other students between the ages of nine and 17 who nail the groovy nu-metal classic.
The gang features guitarists, a bassist, a drummer with a Napalm Death shirt, a kid bangin' on a large metal barrel and more. Also, it's worth mentioning that K8 is already a master headbanger with a hair-whipping move that rivals Corpsegrinder's neck-twisting spins. Watch the incredibly cute performance above via YouTube.
The O'Keefe Music Foundation is an organization that provides free music education to children and adolescents — and seemingly specializes in awesome heavy-metal covers.
