"Freak on a Leash" is easily Korn's most popular song. The standout hit from 1998's Follow the Leader is available for butchering at practically every Karaoke bar in America, so you don't have to look too far to find someone doing an off-key belt of, "something takes a hold of me." What you don't see every day is an eight-year-old girl singing "Freak on a Leash" with a bunch of teenagers as her backing band, but that's just an average Tuesday over at the O'Keefe Music Foundation — whose students have previously performed everything from Rammstein's "Du Hast" to Slipknot's "Wait and Bleed."
Today (March 16th), O'Keefe have shared third-grade-age Zoe Franziska doing a smokin' take on the beloved Korn song. She's eight, so she obviously doesn't have Jonathan Davis' adult vocal range, but she does manage to channel his unhinged energy and even put her own spin on his iconic scatting bridge. The rest of the band is rounded out by 13-year-old rhythm guitarist Ashton Hall, 15-year-old lead guitarist Dominic Donile, 16-year-old drummer Evan Harris and 18-year-old bassist Fritz Dannemiller, and you can watch the killer performance go down in the O'Keefe garage residence above via YouTube.
