"Getting ready for Sunday!" says Tool's Adam Jones in his latest Instagram post where he shares just enough music to get fans riled up ahead of the band's Sunday, May 3rd, headlining performance at Jacksonville, Florida, festival Welcome to Rockville.

With their last record 10,000 Days now 13 years behind them, Tool have whipped up a frenzy of anticipation around their forthcoming new album via endless fan speculation, hilarious pranks on said fans, surprise website updates, and on-brand cynical commentary from the group's notoriously sarcastic leader, Maynard James Keenan. Judging from his choice of hashtags (#MakingDreamsComeTrue #TheFastingIsOver, etc.), Jones is clearly aware of the situation and having fun with it. Performed on an American flag-emblazoned Fernandes Nomad travel guitar, his new riff sounds both fresh and familiar, notably resembling a section of the instrumental track "Descending," which the band has performed live for the past few years. Check it out below, as well as Tool's latest social media post, a hilarious meme featuring the band members with thought balloons as they consider playing new material in Jacksonville.
