See Alice in Chains Debut New Song "Fly" at Seattle Space Needle Performance

Alice in Chains have had a busy few days leading up to the Friday release of their first album in five years, Rainier Fog. From throwing the first pitch at a Mariners game Monday to last night's history-making performance at Seattle's quintessential landmark Space Needle, the album's launch will cap off a week-long hometown celebration for the grunge pioneers. 

"I've visited the Space Needle many times in my life and it's going to be a real honor and a total trip for us to play there," said vocalist/guitarist Jerry Cantrell ahead of the performance.

The show, a collaboration with SiriusXM, included a limited audience of subscribers, was the first ever at the The Loupe — part of a recent $100 million renovation at the Space Needle that touts the world's first and only revolving glass floor 500 feet above ground. Rainier Fog is out this Friday, August 24th. Alice in Chains are currently on tour now through October 20th.
