See Alice in Chains Perform "Rooster" Live With Doors Guitarist Robby Krieger

Jerry Cantrell and Co. brought out legendary musician for finale of grunge icons' Hollywood Palladium show

Rainier Fog has been out a full week now, and Alice in Chains are still going strong to promote this latest effort. Wednesday night (August 29th) saw the grunge forefathers perform to a sold-out crowd at the Hollywood Palladium. The show also including a special appearance from Robby Krieger, the legendary guitarist and founding member of Sixties Los Angeles rock group the Doors.

Krieger hopped onstage for "Rooster," Alice in Chains' seminal 1992 song from their second studio album Dirt. Co-frontman and guitarist Jerry Cantrell took to Instagram to say of Krieger's appearance, "Robby Krieger was kind enough to join us to close the show on Rooster at the palladium tonight. One of my musical heroes, friend and occasional golf partner...what an honor especially in LA," referring to the Doors' place in rock history as one of the city's most famous bands.
