See American Nightmare Cast "Gloom Forever" in Striking New Video

Visuals come natural for American Nightmare and Wes Eisold. In every aspect of both AN and Eisold's dark-wave band Cold Cave, an aesthetic is completely defined, as one can see in the new video for the former's "Gloom Forever," a standout cut off the group's recently released self-titled album. The clip features multiple moody shots of the reunited hardcore outfit performing under a heavy neon spotlight. The camera focuses in dramatically on Eisold as he screams out the lyrics, "Oh gloom, I see no future/That's why I loved you with the lights on." The song is exemplary of the evolution that occurred in the 15-year gap between American Nightmare albums, still packing the hardcore grit of the group's early days but also incorporating elements of post-punk and goth.
