Zacky Vengeance, Johnny Christ and Brooks Wackerman get in the Halloween spirit

At least three members of Avenged Sevenfold are feeling the Halloween spirit. Guitarist Zacky Vengeance, bassist Johnny Christ and drummer Brooks Wackerman of the OC metal titans have shared a fun video of them covering the classic Misfits tune, "Hybrid Moments."

In a visual shared on the official A7X YouTube channel, the three bandmates bang out a faithful cover of the classic horror-punk tune from the Misfits' Static Age album, which was recorded in 1978 but not released until 1996. While he only provides backing vocals in Avenged, Vengeance takes on the frontman role here and actually does a killer Danzig tribute.

To give it that spooky season flair, the trio all went all-out and painted their faces to look like the Misfits' notorious Fiend mascot. Watch it above via YouTube.

"We wanted to have a little fun with you to kick off the Halloween season," Vengeance said. "Brooks wanted to do a Misfits song. I wanted to paint my face like KISS and call ourselves the KISSFits and Johnny wanted to drink and walk around town dressed like a skeleton. I forgot to paint my face like KISS. We still kept it punk rock and spooky for ya!"
