Avenged Sevenfold have been regularly digging deep into the making of some of their standout songs with their ongoing Breakdown video series. Today (December 28th) marks the ninth anniversary of the death of the group's original drummer Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan, and to commemorate the milestone, A7X have shared outtakes from their Breakdown episode on the 2007 song "Almost Easy," which was written by The Rev. The video shows Sullivan shooting some hoops before jumping into the studio and laying down his drum tracks with virtuosic skill. In modern-day footage, the band's guitarists, Synyster Gates and Zacky Vengeance, remember the recording sessions, laughing when recalling how bummed The Rev was to be tracking so early in the day and how hopped up on his coffee he was. "That's Jimmy going full Animal," Vengeance kids, listening back to the drum track. "Just Animal from The Muppets."
