It's only been a year since Beartooth dropped their dark and heavy fourth album, Below, but the band helmed by vocalist-songwriter Caleb Shomo are already back today (July 12th) with a brand new single called "Riptide." Compared to the stormy, metallic hardcore sound they explored on last year's full-length, this tune has a much more upbeat and ebullient vibe to it, with a soulfully-sung chorus that Shomo dances his ass off to in the accompanying video, showcasing some pretty snazzy new moves.
In the caption of a recent Instagram post teasing visuals from the video, Shomo wrote "it's time for a new era," and he followed up that transformative sentiment by writing, "welcoming change in life," upon posting the "Riptide" video earlier today.
