Death-metal supergroup pits muscle car against the undead

Prepare to be eaten by flame-shrouded zombies! Bloodbath, the old-school death-metal supergroup featuring current and former members of Paradise Lost, Opeth and Katatonia, are back and coming for, well, what else? Blood! They're celebrating the announcement of their forthcoming sixth album, Survival of the Sickest, with the release of lead single "Zombie Inferno" and its fittingly splatteriffic music video.

The track has all the brutal buzzsaw brutality you'd expect from the Blood boys, and the visual matches it blow for blow with leather, fire, muscle cars, and gore, gore, gore.

The band describe the video as "one man's struggle to rid the world of zombie Infestation that seems to have inconveniently taken over the planet. Particularly, as he's just refueled his 1969 Dodge Super Bee 440."

Considering the band members' resumes, you might think it would be dangerous to add anymore notable musicians to the mix. You'd be right. But thankfully Bloodbath love to live dangerously. The new album features guest spots from Barney Greenway of Napalm Death, Luc Lermay of Gorguts, and March Grewe of Morgoth, just to name a few.

Survival of the Sickest is due out September 9th on Napalm Records. You can pre-order it here.
