Activist musical collective reinvent rap-rock classic with singer Sophia Urista

Having already put their horns-heavy spin on songs by ToolRage Against the Machine, Pantera and other hard-rock titans, politically charged music collective Brass Against are back with a new big-band cover: of the Beastie Boys' rap-rock essential "Sabotage."

Featuring the dynamic powerhouse vocals of Sophia Urista, the group's faithful but fresh take on the song utilizes the group's expansive brass section to recreate the 1994 hit's instantly recognizable hard-rock guitar riff. Straddling the line between metal and rap, the cut is a natural choice for the outfit and they do it perfect justice.

The pro-shot studio footage is — as always with Brass Against — expertly produced and shows off the individual members' honed expertise on their respective instruments. Peak intensity is reached near the cover's end when the bottom drops out and slowly builds back up with multiple members leaning in close to the mics to shout the iconic chorus.

You can catch Brass Against at one of their upcoming U.S. show before they head off to Europe in June for an international summer tour. Find a full list of dates here
