Belgian post-hardcore stars announce forthcoming 'Unison Life' LP

Belgian post-hardcore trio Brutus — led by powerhouse vocalist-drummer Stefanie Mannaerts — have announced their third album, Unison Life, for an October 21st release via Sargent House. Touted by everyone from Metallica's Lars Ulrich to Converge's Ben Koller, the band have seemingly upped their game in the three years since their previous LP, Nest, at least judging from the singles released so far, June's "Dust" and today's "Liar." The latter arrived with a surreal, cinematic video — Brutus' first-ever narrative clip — shot in Morocco and directed by Maximiliaan Dierickx. Watch and listen above.

"I wanted every song to feel like the last song we'll ever write," Mannaerts commented of Unison Life. "It killed me inside because it's almost an impossibly high standard, but that was my personal goal for this album. It was a two-year quest of trying to do better."
