Pop-country star closed out her set with a song by one of her favorite bands

Carrie Underwood is one of the foremost pop-country figures of the 21st century, having leveraged her win during American Idol's 2005 season into a formidable career that's still going strong today. Despite her prominence in decidedly un-metal sectors of the music industry, she's long been into heavy music (in 2014 she revealed that Mudvayne are on her workout playlist) and she's recently begun to display her affection for harder-hitting stylings.

Earlier this year, she hit the stage with her friend Axl Rose at Stagecoach fest to sing a couple Guns N' Roses songs, and then in June she shared her own rendition of Ozzy Osbourne's "Mama, I'm Coming Home." Now, she's closing out her set with a cover of GN'R's "Welcome to the Jungle."

On October 15th, Underwood — clad in a GN'R leather jacket — capped her set in Greenville, South Carolina, with a fiery, country-tinged spin on the Appetite For Destruction classic. Fortunately, a fan was there to record in high-definition, so you can watch the performance above via YouTube.
