See Charlie Benante play PANTERA's "Walk" and ANTHRAX's "Indians" with Seahawks drumline

Metal drummer played a couple heavy classics with Seattle's Blue Thunder at Lumen Field

Apparently, pulling double-duty in Anthrax and Pantera isn't enough for Charlie Benante — the guy wanted to spend even more time behind the kit. Over the weekend, Benante joined the Seahawks Blue Drumline to perform Pantera's "Walk" and Anthrax's "Indians" during Sunday's (January 8th) Seahawks game against the L.A. Rams.

Unlike other, more traditional drumlines, the Seahawks Blue Thunder are especially fond of turning rock and metal songs into rhythmic sports anthems, and they've previously featured drummers from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pennywise, Yes and more as their special guests.

Alongside footage of the performance posted to Instagram, Benante — who joined Pantera's newly-reformed live lineup last year — wrote how stoked he was to play with this particular group of percussionists.

"Thank you to everyone for making this happen," Benante wrote. "Keith Rous [Blue Thunder director], you are a drummer's drummer and you get it. You put together a great drumline. I enjoyed hanging and talking with everyone and even learned a trick or two. They wanted to play 'Indians' and 'Walk' and I was more than happy to play those with them. The Seattle rain sucked but we got through it and the Seahawks won."
