2017 was a big year for Texas' Shattered Sun. The melodic metal quintet dropped its second album, The Evolution of Anger, and appeared on the Vans Warped Tour for select dates. Then at a July show in Corpus Christi in their home state, the band was joined onstage by Testament frontman and famous fan Chuck Billy (who also manages the group) for rousing renditions of the thrash veterans' "Return to Serenity" and "Into the Pit." So Shattered Sun tore into 2018 with a head full of steam, which they are taking on the road with them on their current tour with Act of Defiance (see dates below). They also directed some of that momentum into the energetic new video for standout Evolution of Anger cut "Blame."
"This song defines the mood of the new record and the center of the anger I felt writing it," singer Marcos Leal says. "In today's world everyone points the finger at each other, places the blame on each other and no one wants to be liable for their surrounding negative situations. Some people tend to hide in the shadows of cowardice, yet are the first to condemn others to the eyes of the public. This song is our message: We aren't asleep and you can't bury us all."
