See CLUTCH's Neil Fallon join MASTODON for epic "Blood and Thunder" in 2015

Live at Colorado's Red Rocks Amphitheatre

2004's "Blood and Thunder" was a huge breakthrough song for Mastodon. One of the singles off their first-ever concept album, Leviathan, based on the classic 1851 novel Moby Dick, the barreling cut saw the Atlantan titans streamlining their sound a bit and inviting Clutch's Neil Fallon to join the fun, in the band's first guest feature.

"Blood and Thunder" has since become Mastodon's third most played song live, having been performed over 650 times. But they've only played the song onstage a handful of times joined by Fallon. One such occasion took place on April 3rd at Red Rocks Amphitheatre outside of Denver, Colorado. If you know the venue then you know that it's a perfect location for Mastodon's seismic sound and prehistoric spirit. Between the setting and Fallon's presence, it all made for a particularly epic performance. Watch above.
