Pittsburgh metallic hardcore crew prepping two fresh singles

Code Orange are about to drop some new music on us. On Thursday June 1st, the Pittsburgh metallic hardcore crew are tentatively slated to release a couple new songs called "Grooming My Replacement" and "The Game." And since the band recently wiped their Instagram feed to begin rolling out a whole new set of visual clues, we'd venture a guess that they're singles from an upcoming album.

Today (May 30th), Code Orange dropped a 14-minute video cheekily titled "Code Orange SLAMS modern music critics," that mostly consists of footage of a torture victim being interrogated. However, at the tail end of the vid, we get to hear a couple minutes of fresh music, and it sounds incredibly promising.

Since their ambitious 2020 album, Underneath, Code Orange have dropped a live record, a remix album, a WWE soundtrack and their surprisingly gaudy 2021 nu-metal banger, "Out For Blood." These teasers don't sound like any of that stuff.

Monstrously heavy, brooding and chugging, the clip in the above YouTube video sounds like Forever-era Code Orange. The music starts at about the 11:05 mark of the video. Listen for yourself.
