See Code Orange's Explosive New "Swallowing the Rabbit Whole" Video

Fire, masks, and Jami Morgan steps out from behind the drums

2020 is gonna be a big year for Code Orange. The Pittsburgh metallic hardcore experimentalists are gearing up to release their highly anticipated new album, Underneath, the follow-up to 2017's watershed record Forever. Plus, they have a big headlining tour ahead of them with the finely curated, cutting-edge lineup of Show Me the Body, Jesus Piece and Machine Girl set to open. (See their upcoming itinerary below.) Last month, Code Orange unleashed the lead single and title cut off their new album along with its synapse-frying music video. Today, February 7th, the band has offered up another new song, "Swallowing the Rabbit Whole," a much more aggro banger that takes the group's industrialized bluster to another level of abusiveness. The single's accompanying music video holds its own revelations as it sees drummer, vocalist and bandleader Jami Morgan stepping up to the mic, front and center, while a masked player pounds the kit in his place behind him.

"'Swallowing the Rabbit Whole' is the passageway into the deep descent that is the next era of Code Orange," Morgan commented, "the next piece to the puzzle of Underneath. Duality is key, not only thematically on this album, but in the continued evolution of our sound and the larger heavy music world in general. You've got it all figured out until you're drowning in it."
