See Coheed and Cambria's Epic New Sci-Fi Video "Unheavenly Creatures"

Two criminals are marched to sentencing in New York prog-rockers' cinematic visual

Coheed and Cambria return to their epic sci-fi universe on their upcoming new album Vaxis – Act I: The Unheavenly Creatures. Following up their heavy, pure-rock stunner "The Dark Sentencer," today they've offering up the next taste off the record in the form of its title track "Unheavenly Creatures." On the track, synthesizers hang over the group's twisting guitar riffs, slowing down the pace from the previous single while evoking poppier cuts from their past, like "Blood Red Summer." Along with the song comes a video that's a full-on sci-fi movie production straight out of Star Trek. Two criminals are marched to their sentencing, with flashbacks to their crimes and previous lives. It ends without a complete resolution, so hopefully there's more in store visually from the band as The Unheavenly Creatures comes into full focus.

The album is due October 5th via Roadrunner Records; you can preorder it here.
