Dynamic, emotional performance was a highlight at star-studded Dimebash 2019 tribute show

January 24th California outing Dimebash 2019 featured an all-star lineup of metal musicians coming together to celebrate the life of late Pantera guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott and playing classic covers, including a special performance of the Southern groove metal outfit's 1992 song "This Love" featuring Slipknot singer Corey Taylor, Anthrax drummer Charlie Benante, Grim Reaper's Nick Bowcott, former Megadeth guitarist Chris Broderick, and original Pantera bassist Rex Brown.

The dynamic, emotional performance was a highlight of the evening; Taylor was in full charming frontman mode, working every inch of the stage and climbing the monitors as the crowd cheered on. After Broderick brought the house down with his solo, the crowd and musicians all sang along at the performance climaxed in an epic, knuckle-dragging breakdown.

The party didn't stop there, though, as the unique grouping of musicians also performed Pantera's biggest hit "Walk." Broderick posted a snippet of the track on Instagram, saying "2019 Dimebash "Walk" with myself, Corey Taylor, Rex Brown, Nick Bowcott and Char [sic] Benante. Thanks Rita Haney [Dimebag's longtime partner] for keeping Dime's spirit alive and including me in this awesome celebration." See that performance below, and check out another highlight from the night in this performance of Slayer's "Mandatory Suicide" featuring Dave Lombardo, Cypress Hill's Sen Dog, and more.
