Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine has a few words of advice for people who attend rock concerts: no throwing shoes and bottles at the stage, and spitting "ain't cool either." Those are the laws he laid down in a hysterical PSA that aired on MTV back in 1997, which featured the rocker sprawled out on his side while half-seriously venting about the bullshit that musicians take from rabid fans.
"There was a time where spitting on people was cool, but that ain't cool either. You know, depending on what's in your snot, who knows what's gonna happen?" Those are the kind of words of wisdom he doles out throughout the minute-long clip, in which he also refers to throwing random shit onstage as "the stupidest thing in the world."
The tone he takes on is that of the disappointed parent — not so much angry, just woefully exhausted from having to take bottles to the face and snot lougies hacked at his feet. It's great, and you can watch it above via YouTube.
