See Deafheaven Play "Worthless Animal," "Honeycomb" in Stunning, Intimate Live Videos

California blackgazers take off lace gloves for stripped-down performance

Deafheaven have been playing to crowds of thousands for several years now since the release of their breakthrough record Sunbather, but in a recent performance filmed for Audiotree Live, the blackgaze outfit delivered an unusually intimate and more relaxed performance, providing fans with an up-close look at the mechanics of the group. Filmed at The Preston Bradley Center Auditorium in Chicago, the band display the calm maturity in their playing that's present on their latest album Ordinary Corrupt Human Love.

The folks behind Audiotree have a simple mission statement that's led to some really beautiful output, including performance clips featuring some heavier acts that might be passed over by other mainstream-focused music outlets: "We produce studio sessions, live-streaming concerts, music videos, promotional spots, interviews, and intimate show documentaries. Our video, sound, editing, and graphics team all share a strong love of music and work to see that the best possible products are created for artists who are talented, dedicated, and hardworking."

Other heavy-music acts whom Audiotree has covered include Chelsea Wolfe, King Woman and Pallbearer. Check their official YouTube channel to keep up with their diverse array of high-quality video content.

Deafheaven's Ordinary Corrupt Human Love is out now on Anti Records. Take a look behind the scenes of their recent tour with Revolver's "Corrupt Love Across America" video series, which provides insight into the making of the album and more.
