See Death Gospel Singer Louise Lemón Face Doomed Love in Intense New Video

Two men duke it out for musician's affections in cinematic "Not Enough" visual

Louise Lemón's stunning brand of self-described "death gospel" shines bright on her gorgeously depressing single "Not Enough," the story of a doomed relationship that flexes the full range of the singer's soulful voice. In a new video for the track, Lemón plays a bride-to-be who follows through with the song's narrative and sheds the skin of her former life just in time to avoid the mistake of marrying a mismatched partner.

The clip begins Lemón in a white lace mini-dress as she runs hand in hand away from a church with a man wearing all black and a clerical collar in what clearly becomes a runway bride situation. As the two head quickly toward a waiting car, the jilted would-be husband approaches, and fight between the two men begins as they vie for the singer's love. Lemón's character steps into the drama, attempting to mitigate the ensuing violence, but the true winner becomes clear quickly and the lovebirds drive off into their newfound romantic freedom.

"This video signifies letting go," says Lemón of the clip. "In contradiction to the lyrics, in the video I actually leave. I get help from some higher powers and find myself in a completely new situation, open for real love." The closing sunset sequence showcases this situation beautifully, as the new couple gaze tenderly at one another amid the soft glow of twilight. She continues, "We recorded [the song] in California and there was a beautiful feeling that day that I really think we captured."

"Not Enough" is set to appear on Lemón's upcoming full-length A Broken Heart Is an Open Heart, due out in March. After its release, the Swedish artist will play a series of European dates in the spring, starting with a coveted spot at this year's Roadburn Festival in Tilburg, Netherlands.
